"server 500 error"

Nothing works. I can't log in to my ppadmin.cgi area, I can't view cart or add to cart, nothing. Everything gives me the server 500 error. It was working fine. The last thing I did under the admin settings was in the payment gateways options, remove the "<br>Click here to pay by credit card<br>" tag and I've gotten "server 500" errors ever since. I need help. SInce I can't log in, I can't even try to fix anything. Thanks, Jon |

I addressed my situation to support at my hosting site and they looked over the contents of my cgi folder and said that the ".htaccess" file is completely empty. Does anyone know (since support@shoppingcart.org here has not responded after 3 days of downtime) what is supposed to make up this file? Anyone?
